    Keeping it green

In 2013 we were one of the first companies in IJmuiden who filled their roof with 700 solar panels. In 2013 this resulted in a nomination for the ‘’IJmond duurzaam award’’. this award is reached out to the most sustainable companies in our region.

In 2018 we changed our freezing and cooling systems into a CO2-system. This systems uses the heat to warm up our company (if necessary), so no power goes to waste.

Last year, in 2020 we found some extra space and added 80 more solar panels.
Now that the roof is completely full,  we keep looking for ways to keep our carbon-footprint as low as possible.

Taking over the web with our scallops

Since 2006 we have been processing different kind of scallops from all over the world. After processing for other brands – and for the standard white jars, we created our own brand named ‘’Premium Quality Scallops’’.

With the exclusive appearance of the packaging, it must have the best possible scallops as well. In 2020 we completely switched to Canadian (frozen at sea) scallops, so we can guarantee the best possible quality. These frozen at sea scallops outperform land-frozen scallops on drip loss, cooked yield, flavour, texture and shelf life.

Since this year we went online with the website filled with information, cooking instructions and even video’s from chefs who have been working with our scallops for several years. On our Instagram we show you the way from process till plate.

  • The whole chain on High Level

The whole chain on High Level

As a supplier of some of the biggest supermarkets in Europe, we want to ensure the most hygienic work environment. Therefore we chose to start to work with IFS in 2012.

From the first year in 2012 we had a high level score, which means that we scored 95% or higher. We kept on scoring high level ever since.

    Clint van der Deijl:
“As a family owned company, we always want to improve our business and way of work. We are in it for the long run and we have to keep looking forward for our future generations. IFS is keeping us on our toes, so the buyers, packers, and the facility are all strict on food safety and quality.”
